• Contact Details: Full name, telephone number (for WhatsApp/SMS dispatch notifications), and email address.
• Location Information: Full UK postcode and physical service address for scheduling our mobile technician workshop vehicle to arrive at your door.
• Device Specifications: Device brand, exact model identifier, fault symptoms, and any device photographs you submit to assist in diagnosis and parts stocking.
• Transaction & Invoicing Data: Payment confirmation, digital payment receipt records, and 12-month warranty registration logs. (We never store physical credit or debit card numbers—all on-site payments are processed directly through certified PCI-DSS compliant contactless terminals).

2. Strict Device Data Privacy Policy

🔒 We respect your device privacy: Device Rescue technicians never require, ask for, or record your lock screen passcodes or biometric data. Testing of display touch sensitivity, audio, cameras, and charging capabilities can be conducted directly from emergency dialer screens or in your direct presence. Your photos, messages, apps, and stored personal data remain confidential and strictly untouched.

3. Lawful Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR Article 6, we process your personal information under the following legal bases:

• Contractual Necessity: To coordinate technician dispatch, deliver doorstep repair services, and fulfill our contractual obligations.

4. WhatsApp and Communications

When you choose to communicate via WhatsApp by clicking our booking or quotation buttons, communication is governed by WhatsApp's end-to-end encryption and terms. We only use your WhatsApp contact details to coordinate repair timings, verify device models, send arrival ETA updates, and issue digital invoices upon job completion.

5. How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain customer contact and service records for a period of up to 24 months following the completion of a repair service. This ensures we can authenticate and honour your 12-Month Comprehensive Repair Warranty and resolve any follow-up customer inquiries. Accounting records are retained for the statutory 6-year period required by HMRC.
